ABOUT ME

Daisy is a regular in the session world recording vocals and various instruments, booking musicians, writing songs for TV and library albums and orchestrating for bands and film, TV and game soundtracks. As a singer, fixer, orchestrator, arranger and copyist, Daisy works with top orchestras in London (LMO, LCO, LSO) and at top studios (Abbey Road, Air, Rak, British Grove).

RECENT WORK

Independent recent work includes singing and appearing as onstage ukulele player for Danny Boyle/Richard Curtis film Yesterday (2019), and singing on soundtracks by Paul Saunderson, Guy Garvey (Elbow) and Peter Jobson (I Am Kloot) including Apple TV's Trying. BBC's Life and ITV's Cleaning Up. Daisy also prepared the music for the hotly-anticipated Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order game (2020) by Gordy Haab and Stephen Barton and sang for the Tomb Raider soundtrack by Peter Connolly arranged by Richard Niles (2019). Daisy has worked with brands including Spitfire Audio, Cadbury, Jaguar, Porsche, Gucci, ChanelBurberry, Ableton Live and Universal Audio with whom she featured as solo vocalist for their product launch at Air Studios singing alongside LMO on Two Door Cinema Club's track Sun (2018). Daisy sang and organised the choir for Patrick Watson's concert tour in March 2020.

BANDS/ARTISTS

With the LCO Daisy has also worked as singer, fixer and copyist on studio albums for Radiohead (A Moon Shaped Pool), Justice (Grammy-winning Woman Worldwide) and Nimmo and live performances with Actress, Unkle, Terry Riley, Jonny Greenwood, Shiva Feshareki, Matthew HerbertOliver Coates, Omar Kamal, Emiliana Torrini (alongside Mara Carlyle) at venues including London's Barbican CentreSouthbank Centre, The Royal Albert HallCadogan Hall, The Roundhouse, Iceland's Harpa and various venues across the Middle East and Eastern Europe, including Katara Opera House for Qatari composer Dana Al Fardan, Beittidine Palace with Omar Kamal and BAKU Islamic Solidarity Games and  Elbphilharmonie Hamburg for Chanel fashion show.

Daisy independently fixed singers for Kasabian's headline appearances at Glastonbury Festival and Later with Jools Holland, and for Patrick Watson's European tour in March 2020, and has previously worked with Two Door Cinema Club and members of Elbow and I Am Kloot.

 

As a seasoned performer and recording artist herself, Daisy has received plaudits for her music from legends Sir Barry Gibb, Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Ray Davies (now her mentor), Howard Goodall, Richard Niles and jazz legends Sheila Jordon and the late Mark Murphy and Humphrey Lyttleton.

As a lead vocalist and arranger of her band All Angels, she has had two sold-out national arena tours inc. O2 Arena as part of youth music organisation Young Voices, countless televised performances to millions from venues such as The Royal Albert Hall and for events such as UEFA Champions League Final at Wembley and released 3 platinum-selling Classical Brit-nominated albums with Decca, Universal.

SONGWRITING

As an award-winning songwriter Daisy's songs have been recognised in her home country Scotland (Burnsong x 2, Scottish Music Centre), the U.K. (BBC Young Composer, UKSWF, Coffee Music Project, DIT, BAFTA) and the U.S. (Nashville’s Songdoor, Tunesmith, Pulse Records, Durango). Daisy is mentored by legendary songwriter Sir Ray Davies (The Kinks). Her 5 most recent singles are being played in over 900 Caffè Nero stores worldwide and her music has been featured on BBC Radio London/Kent/Coventry, London Live, C4, BBC 1, 2 and 3, Sky, ITV, CNN, Bob Harris’ Under The Apple Tree series and more.

 

As well as commissions (Sky TV's Athena, Finnie's Ad campaign) Daisy has contributed songs to library albums Evolution's Classic Country and EMI Production Music Library albums Singer-Songwriter Vocal Acoustic Pop, Moody Folk and Coffee Shop Acoustic, with more on the way. She has been invited to showcase and attend professional writing camps in UK, Nashville, Los Angeles and Europe; she collaborates with other songwriters and artists regularly getting songs placed on artist albums and soundtracks.

SOUNDTRACKS

In the soundtrack world, Daisy works with the London Metropolitan Orchestra (led by Andy Brownand North Pole Studios (led by Steve McLaughlin and Ilan Eshkeri) as vocalist, orchestrator, copyist, songwriter, fixer and multi-instrumentalist. With LMO/North Pole, Daisy has contributed to soundtracks by Ilan Eshkeri include the BAFTA-nominated Athena and Shaun The Sheep The MovieThe Informer, Sims 4, David Attenborough's Alive at the Natural History Museum and Perfect Planet, Space Station Earth, The Snowman and The Snowdog, I Give It a Year, 47 Ronin, Ralph Fiennes' directed Invisible Woman, The White Crow and many more. Daisy featured as lead vocalist, fixer and lyric consultant on Eshkeri's Burberry-commissioned Reliquary score.
